**While this board is intended to be for fun, please note that we do have some rules here that all members are expected to follow. Violation of any of the below rules or ProBoards Terms of Service may result in account suspension, and repeated offences will get you banned from the board.**

**Please read and reply to this thread stating that you have read and understand the rules**

Rules:

General:

*Yes, swearing is permitted. However, we don't want every other word in every single post to be a profanity, as this takes away from the RP. Also, certain derogatory words have been filtered by the censors. Don't use those, please.

*Please keep violence and sexual references to a minimum. This board isn't necessarily PG-13, but if you are going to be RPing an 'adult' thread, keep it in the rooms or residences, and label the thread title with (Private) or something else, and keep your posts as implied as possible. If not, a staff member will do so, but please be courteous of other members. Violence must not be graphic and inappropriate posts will be edited and/or deleted without notice. Violation of these also violates ProBoards' Terms of Service, and may result in the board's deletion.

*No bullying or harassing other members! Please inform one of the admins if another member is harassing you, and we will step in to resolve it. We do not tolerate disrespectful behaviour towards others in real life, and we won't do it here. Bullying of anyone on this board will result in the responsible party being banned, and will not be permitted to RP here again.

Characters:

*You may have more than one account if you wish. We prefer members have no more than three character accounts, but depending on your activity levels and the size of their roles, we will consider a fourth account if you PM me or Mick with your request.

*This is an vampire RP forum. Characters from other vampire series' will be permitted, but please, no other supernatural characters. "Moonlight" is vampire based. No werewolves, shape-shifters, demons, witches or the like will be accepted here.

*All non-canon (made up) characters must submit a character profile. Canons that appear in the show do not have to complete one, but it would be appreciated by other members of the board so that we know some background about your character and how people will interact with each other.

*It is fine for you to use celebrities for your avatars and signatures. For canons on the show, it would be preferred if you use the actor/actress who portrays your character. Don't forget to make your signature claim in the claims thread so we know who has claimed who. Once a celeb has been claimed, no one else may use it. You can switch celebs if you change your mind, but post this change in the claims thread please. One of us will update it as soon as we are able.

*On that note, please use a proper photo for your avatar. Cartoons and/or other clip arts are allowed in signatures only. Please do not use inappropriate images- you will be asked to remove any sexually revealing avatars/sigs from your profile, or a member of staff will do it for you.

*You do not need to be a vampire. Yes, this a vampire RP, no, we're not against humans

We'd prefer to have a healthy mix of both for some interesting RP.

Roleplay:

*Keep your posts short and sweet during roleplay. All levels of RPers are welcome, as we remember what it's like to be new and inexperienced to RPing- just no chapter long posts, please, as often, threads may be fast moving if you are RPing live and with several others in the same thread.

*We RP in real time. This means you cannot be in two places at once just as you can't be in real life. If you have to leave, please PM the member you're RPing with so they're not waiting for you to post when you've logged off, or have your character leave the thread.

*Watch your spelling and grammar. There is a spell check button in the reply box, or you can type your post in a word processor such as Microsoft Word, spell check it, then simply copy and paste it into the reply box in the thread. There's no reprimand for this if you don't do it, but just be aware that we like threads to be readable, and that proves difficult to do if spelling errors are too numerous to comprehend the original post.

*All major plots must be approved by an admin. Engagements and marriages, pregnancies, and the killing off of any character, whether canon or not, must be approved by an admin first. Smaller plots are, of course, always welcome and encouraged.

*No Godmoding. This means you cannot RP the actions of another person on the board in your posts, only RP your own. Also, your vampire may posses supernatural powers and strength, but they also have weaknesses. It's not realistic to behave as if your character is all powerful and unaffected- and it makes RPing not nearly so fun.

*And finally- just have fun!*
